Fair bat, but has not improved according to expectation ; has bowled well throughout the season. A good held. *7/. C. B. Cummins (94-5): A good but uncertain bat, who has learnt to score much faster this year. A good right-hand fast bowler. Splendid held at point. *R. Nicolas (94-5): A good bat, but often inclined to play too tamely, lias scored consistently throughout the season. * An uncertain held. *G. B. FirJd (94-5): A somewhat disappointing bat. Cuts splendidly, but is rather too fond of trying to hit a straight ball to leg. Very good deep held. *T. L . Ball (94-5) : A useful bat, with strong hitting powers, but weak in defence. Good change bowler, with break from the off. Good held. *C. R. Worthington (95): A very good bat, playing in a fine free style, and generally making runs when wanted. Good change bowler, keeping an excellent length. Good held. *C. K. Ruck (95): A very fair bat, with a good off-drive; fair change bowler. Excellent held. W. Cosscr (95): A fair but uncertain bat; has generally made runs w*hen required. Fair held. E. T. L anydale (95) : Han kept wicket very fairly during the season. A good punishing bat, but weak in defence. * W. Le G. Clark (95): A useful bat, with good hitting powers, but poor defence. Splendid held anywhere. S. C. A. Cosscr (95) : A very useful left- handed bowler, slow medium, breaking from the leg, and very fair right-handed bat. Has scarcely fulfilled the promise of last year, but should be useful next season.
