Generally got runs when they were wanted. The mainstay of the team as a bowler, fast and straight. Should be very good next year. Good field. Captain for next vear. *//. L. Wethered : Was only able to play in the last throe matches, and his absence weakened the team very much, as he is a good steady bat, and a smart field at slip. *G. L. Greenshields : A steady and much improved bat, but gets in front too much. Fair field and can keep wicket a little. Bad judge of a run. Sometimes bowrls lobs. *G. L. Crossman: Would have been a very fine bat if he had been a little less reckless in his hitting. Remarkably fine field at cover, with a happy knack of throwing the wicket down. Can bowl slow leg breaks a little. W. F. Money : On his day a good fast bowler, with a distinct break-back. Stiff but improved bat. An excellent field. G. T. Lee .* One of the most promising bats we have had for some time. Has strong defence, and his cutting and play on the leg side are very good. May make a w’icket-keeper. Slow in the field. R. M. T. Gillson: \ promising player. Scores at a great pace when started, but generally begins shakily. Can bowl, but tries to get too much pace on. A good field with great reach. G. (J . Tracey: A useful hitter, but his back stroke spoils his defence. Can sometimes bowl, left-hand medium. Much improved in the field. *L. J. C. Rileif: Clumsy both with the bat and in the field, but not infrequently got runs when they were wanted. *W. T. A. Claughton: Started the season wrell, but fell off from his promise. Not to be relied on in the field. E. A. T. Bayley: \ hard-working cricketer. Generally fields well, and may very likely make a bowler next year.
