A good and careful captain. * / ’. I\ (,< <r<s : lias proved himself a useful and painstaking bowler, unfrequeutly shows a stubborn defence with the bat, in a style all his own. / Fatter: Very much improved with the bat and still promises well. A ust inl, but rather plain bowler. Excellent field. A thoroughly hard-working cricketer. *N. L. liarhe: With pains may make a first-rate bat; plays stiaight and strong, and cuts well. A good point. Can bowl an ugly ball on occasions. *7.*. U. Lee : Slightly disappointing as a bowler, and, though pi rilous to the batsman, is expensive to Ins own side. A lively run-getter, and good mid-olf and thrower. 1L F. T. Phillips: Has played some pluckv innings and lidded well at short slip. Moderate bowler. IF. Bennett: Has a hesitating and unaifecting style with the bat, but occasionally scores. </. / / . B. h ast r : Still very uncertain in the field and at the wicket. Has huge gaps in his defence, but can hit lustily to the off. II. Jupp: An excellent and very steady bowler. Improving rapidly with the bat. hair field. N. IS. A . Harri son Cain make huge hits, but is innocent of all defence at present. A fair wicket keep. Without hard woik will prove a great disappointment.
