F. liaird: A good wicket keeper, allowing few' balls to pass him, and very good at w'hipping off the bails. A stubborn batsman, not easily dislodged. *B. W. Mitchell: A capital medium pace bowler, varying both pace and pitch with great judgment; has improved greatly since last season, and has been consistently successful. Fair bat, and good field at short slip. *A. B. Lubbock: Has developed into a really good batsman, making the most of his long reach and driving especially well on the on side. A safe field at mid-off. *F. Robertson : A good but nervous bat; cuts well and has a good stroke off his legs. Fair bowler and field. C. T. Allen: A very useful all-round cricketer.
