A really good and stylish bat, with a charming but risky stroke through the slips; must make liis defence more si ubl'orn to become first class. Very succcsstul as a bowler. Good field. *//. J; •!'/»•>>/: A steady and painstaking batsman, with strong defence, but a lack f strokes. Played some good innings, but not so often as was expected Torks hard in the country. K. T. M. A bit slow in the field but is quite dependable. *11*. //. Deune: A slow left-hand bowler. Was deadly on slow wickets, quite harmless on fast. A good slip and a fair batsman. A. I>u Boulay : A most promising cricketer. Bowls medium pace w:th a beautiful length. Makes his runs in fine, free style, but is still rather rough. A. It. Skinner: A small but vigorous batsman; quite unorthodox* must take more pains, and learn to keep his head. A good field in the country. C. A. />. Best: A very quiet and certain wicket-keeper; we have had few or none better. Improved in batting. II. C. Baird: Has not fulfilled his old promise. Is a powerful hitter, and proved most useful in school matches. Is a splendid field, and ought to be a good bowler. I). Robertson: A fair nu lium pace bowler. Does not takeenough painsoverhis batting. R. Finkf : A neat and promising batsman, andean field smartly at point. *U. F. Adami: A \ery useful batsman, and a keen and active field. CLIFTON COLLEGE.
