Jackson, Yorkshire had their full side. Still, the University, although they were 87 to the bad on the first hands, had a little the best of the latter part of the game and won by 54 runs, a very creditable victory. H. D. G. Leveson-Gower (54 and 95) was the highest scorer for the University, and Lord Hawke (48 and 47 not out) for Yorkshire. The lowest of the four innings was the last, and the total of that was 197. Oxford University, 256 and 288 ; total. 544. Yorkshire, 293 and 197 ; total, 190.
