R a i npreventeda commencementuntil the second morning, andas the match is limited to two days, there was little or no chance of the gamebeing played out. Harrow, with the best of the wicket , and at the same time with a little luck, scored fifty runs with only one batsman out. Subsequently Cunliffe bowled with remarkable success so much so that , helped by the ground, no one except H. Bradshaw who knocked up 16 of the last 22 made any stand . Eton, in spite of an excellent score of thirty -three by Pilkington , lost half their wickets for 56. Later on, Cunliffe was seen to almost as muchadvantage with the bat , as he had been with the ball , and with useful help from Lubbock and Mitchell the last half of the side added 71. Though only an hour and a half remained for play when Harrowwent in a second time , Cunliffe and Pilkington bowled with such effect that theywereall dismissed in this time for 80. Thematchwasdrawnwith Eton wanting 83 to win. In fielding Harrow were the better side . The all -round cricket of Cunliffe andPilkington though, wasthe best of the match. Theformer. in particular , bids fair to develop into a really good player . B O W L I N G A A L Y S I S . H A R R O W . O v r s. M d n s. R u n s. W k t s. SecondInnings. O v r s. M d n s. R u n s.
