Summary:--Cambridge , 30 ; Oxford, 27 ; drawn, 3. (7) G e n t l e m e nv. P l a y e r s. July9 and10. A matchnotable for a very remarkablebowling performance. Messrs. S. M . J. Woodsand F. S. Jackson were unchanged in either innings of the Players a performance only three times before recorded in this fixture . In losing the toss the Players had all the worst of the wicket, and against a total of 254 their chances of even saving the game were of the smallest . Mr. Jackson's all -round cricket was quite the best feature of the match. His twelve wickets , as will be seen, cost 77 runs. G E N T L E M E N . Mr. A. E.
