Ogilvy (1892-93-94 ) Captain (19)- Astaying bat, with some defence , but a queer style ; generally gets some runs , but has not improved much since last year ; and failed to develop as a lob bowler . A n excellent field anywhere ; and an energetic captain , generally managing his team with judgement. *L. C. Glascock (1892-93-94 ) (17). Unfortunately handicapped by illness all the season . Though very useful both as abat andabowler ; he never reached his true form. Agood field . *L. H. Matthews (1892-93-94 ) (6)- Avery clever and plucky wicket -keeper . Has good hands and can take the fastest bowling standing up to the wicket , letting few balls pass him even on the leg side . Has been of great service to the school for the last three years . G. A. Heron (1893-94 ) Captain for 1895 (10)- Amedium pace bowler , w h ois very deadly on a sticky wicket ; comes fast off the pitch but bowls too manyfull pitches . A nimproving bat. Has some pretty strokes off his legs , but does not put nearly enough power into his play . Asafe field . *G. Bailey (1894) (20)-Isprobably the best bowler the school has hadfor a long time ; comes very fast off the pitch and varies his pace from fast , mediumto slow. Has greatly improved in batting and wonthe Brighton match by his hitting . A good field . *E. S. Bailey (1894) (18)--A pretty bat, hitting very hard on the leg side , but has a weak stroke on his off stump. Played a fine innings against the Old Paulines . A good field . L. O. Wilson (1894) Secretary for 1895 (7)- Ahard hitting but rather uncertain bat; played very well against Brighton College . A good field at point . *C. W. Emmet(1894) (20)-Hasthe highest batting average . Hits very hard all round whenset , but is rather uncertain ; played a good innings against Brighton College . Fields very well at cover . G. S. Lee (1894) (19)- W a s rather out of form towards the end of the term. Cuts very finely , but has a weakforward stroke . Fields and throws in well . F. B. Wathen (1894) (9)- A free bat whois likely to improve considerably . A nerratic fast bowler . A safe field but is rather slow. *E. H. Cholmeley (1894 ) (7)- Amediumpace bowler , whohas not been very successful until the last match. Can hit very hard to leg .
