Powis (14)-Powerful and vigorous bat, having an exceptionally good drive ; fair field and has taken the wicket withconsiderable success . W. H. Elder (16)-Verysteady and painstaking bat, perhaps too careful to do himself justice . Gooduseful change bowler ; slow in the field . T. Edey (9)-Steady bat, promising well, should play forward much more. Fair change bowler with capital break-back. Slow in the field . L. P. Yezzi (8)-Somewhaterratic as a bat ; but good bowler and splendid point . W. L. Engelhardt (8)--Muchimproved as a hat, good field ; can bowl. W. A sa fast under-handbowler, with some break, hehas proved very valuable on several occasions . V. D. G. Jones (15.7 ).-- Hasimproved in confidence and style ; his defence is good, and he places the ball neatly . Slow in the field . N. Low(8.6).-Considerably improved as a bat, but slow in defence , and makes no use of his reach . A very useful and willing field . Withcare and plenty of practice he should make a good wicket -keeper . J. B. Hone(6-2). Has improved in batting , but not as muchas he should have done ; muchtoo anxious to hit. A fair change bowler , whomight be really useful , if he attended more to length . W. Wright (4).-Withmore energy would makea good bat ; plays carefully . A useful longstop . F. D. Jones (1.5).- W o na place in the eleven for his fielding ; a very smart field andsafe catch ; throws fast and straight. A. D. L o w(1.4).-- Veryanxious to do service anywherein the field . H estands well at the wicket , and promises to develop into a good bat. R. H. Roberts . Promises to become a good bat, but his practice has been irregular . Quick in the field . S. S. Davies .-Loses his head. In practice he showed promise, but failed completely in matches. E. Humphreys---Has cricket in him, and can hit hard, but at present is too careless to improve much.
