Hill (33) Has captained the team with great judgement. His improvement in batting has been most remarkable and he has developed great punishing powers . In some matches he has bowled extremely well . Safe field at short slip . J. H. Hayes (22)- Agood bat with strong forward strokes , but some of them very dangerous . His real value as a bowler has been great , greater indeed than his analysis would suggest . Safe field at mid-on. W. Tulloch (19)- Afree bat with fine on drive andgood late cut . Useful change bowler . Smart field at cover . G. H. Lloy (31)-Finebat all round especially on leg -side . Somewhatinclined to be timid in his defensive strokes . Moderatewicket-keeper. W. S. A. Brown(30 )-Reliable bat with curious forward stroke ; has played some most useful innings . Attimes a marvellously successful bowler , and always bowls with judgment . A brilliant field at third man. A. Clegg (13)- Amost patient bat
