(1891-92-93-94 ) : As captain has discharged his duties well. Is a really first -class bat , scoring with freedom all round the wicket . A nexcellent deep field . *W. O. Hubbard(1892- 93-94 ) : Agood fast bowler (right -hand), breaking slightly both ways and getting up sharply from the pitch , and varies his pace well . As a bat has improved vastly upon his last year's form , having acquired more defence , and hitting hard and well on both sides of the wicket . Avery good field . *E. N. Carlton (1892- 93-94) : A good mediumpace bowler (right -hand), with a natural break from the off, always keeping a good length , and varying his pitch and pace with judgment. Hasthis year improved muchin batting , but is still weak with a good length ball on the leg stump. A good field . *H. J. Hilary (1893-94 ) : A very good bat, playing forward well . Has a good defence , and whenset scores very freely all round the wicket . Hasbeen useful on occasions as a change bowler , but wants to be more accurate in direction and pitch . Very safe catch in the deep field . H. C. B. Cummins(1894) : At the beginning of the season promised to be a very good bat, but unfortunately has not latterly retained his early form. Has, however , played some useful innings , scoring well on the leg side , but requires more nerve and determination . A good fast bowler (right -hand), rising very quickly from the pitch , and coming away slightly to the off . Agood field . *R. Nicolas (1894) : A very sound bat, having a good defence and scoring well on the off side, and has batted with great consistency all through the season inclined to play back weakly to balls on the leg stump. Canalso keep wicket well . Agood field . R. G. Candy(1894) : A very good bat, having good defence , and whenset, scoring with freedom all round the wicket in good style . A good out- field , returning well to the wicket. G. B. Field (1894) : Has improved very much since the beginning of the season in his batting , being very steady and having good defensive powers . Canhit well when opportunity offers itself . As a wicket- keeper has done well , improving as the season advanced. *J. Kennington (1894) : Afast bowler, (right -hand), with an off -break ; on occasions bowled very well , I s
