A nexcellent field , and a very useful bowler . *H. H. Marriott : Has a taking style , andhas played some sterling innings. H a sa pretty cut, thoughhis weakspot is just outside the off stump. A good point . *G. H. Simpson : In spite of statistics the best bat in the Eleven. Has, as arule , been curiously unsuccessful except in two or three innings , mainlyfroma desire to play somewhatrecklessly on going in. A nexcellent field andhasdoneone or twogoodperformances with the ball. *B. B. Porch: W a s late in starting to makeruns , but has come on by leaps and bounds, and was one of the most consistent scorers in the Eleven. Drives excellently and has a most useful chop stroke in the slips . Abrilliant field . *C. W. B. Elliott : Hasproved a most serviceable slow mediumbowler . Hasplenty of commandover the ball , and varies its flight well. Hasnot m a d eso m a n yruns as wasexpected. Agoodfield . E. H. Simpson : Hadnot the best of luck on manyoccasions . Has still a cramped style , but alwaysplays straight andwatchesthe ball . Playedone or two excellent innings on the slow wickets. Acapital field . R. E. Foster : O nthe wholehas not done what was expected of him, possibly from the unusually slow wickets . Has developed one or two cramped strokes , for which he has paid the penalty on several occasions. H eroseto theoccasionin the SchoolM a t c h e s. Promisesto be an excellent wicket-keeper. A. E. B. Manders: Oneof the keenest of cricketers . Has not mademanyruns , though he has improved in batting . Hewould deserve his place in most school teams for his fielding is admirable . D. S. Murray: Has comeon rather as a slow bowlerthan a bat, andhas done two or three excellent performances . Has not muchimproved in batting . A very fair field . A. R. Thompson: Has some excellent forward strokes and with care ought to make a good bat. His back play is weak. Afair field . R. T. C. Cookson : Auseful all- round cricketer . Is likely to makeruns at the tail of an innings , and is a verv fair changebowler. G o o dfield . R A D L E Y C O L L E G E . Captain for 1894, B. A. Bailey . R e s u l t so f M a t c h e s .
