HAILEYBURY COLLEGE ELEVEN IN 1894 .-*H. C. Broadrick : Has greatly improved in batting , and plays forward with vigour and success . A fair wicket keep. * W. A. Giles : Apowerful and unpolished hitter ; always liable to score fast and freely . A capital field ; bowls when things are going badly . E. F. Long: Agood bat, who ought to have got manymore runs . Very successful and brisk out field . *G. H. Stevenson : Sadly disappointing with the bat, as he can play well when no one is looking . A n excellent cover -point . N o wand then bowls. *C. V. Miles : Can hit as hard as anyone could wish, and ought to be a dangerous man, whenhe learns to defend his leg stump. Slow and safe in the field . P. P. Graves : A very useful and improving bowler . Fair bat. J. F. Carter : A thorough cricketer , and improving in all departments of the game. Sets an excellent example of energy . S. L. Harke : Promises very fairly with the bat ; often useful with some strange sinuous bowling . *E. H. Gibson : A good hittera n dfair field. Fasta n derraticb o w l e r. R. O.
