Bonham- Carter : Hasbeen useful as a wicket keeper , and plays a fine , free game as a bat , though he is still weak in defence . T. B. Nicholson : Hits hard andplays freely ; heis very active and safe in the field , and saves large numbersof runs. F. E. Thomas: Is a steady and accurate medium-pace bowler , and had considerable success whenhe could get any help from the ground ; he is a very quick and good field . His batting was not so successful as had been hoped. *R. O. de Gex : Madea great stride in his bowling , and uses his head muchmore than he did . H e also shows promise as a bat, and plays very straight and in good style . G. S. Graham-Smith : Bats in a curious style , but his wicket is sometimes difficult to get . H ecan keep wicket ; in the field he is rather slow . *M. E. McConaghey: Is a painstaking bat and steady field ; he is likely to do well another season . *W . N. Pilkington : Bats carefully , and often kept up his wicket at the end of an innings . H eought to show more liveliness and vigour in the field . H. Barstow : Must makehis pitch better if his fast bowling is to be effective ; he has been knownto hit hard, and fielded steadily at point . F. J. de Saram: Is a hard- hitting batandgood field .
