Hill (29.6 ) : Afree bat with an awkwardstyle ; his con- sistent scoring has been of greatest service to the team ; a plucky wicket -keeper , with a great deal to learn . J. H. Hayes (17.7 ) : A slow howler with a big leg- break, varying in length and pace with great judgment ; a sound bat, hitting well to the on; a safe and sometimes brilliant field at mid-on. W. Tulloch (17) : A very promising bat , cutting and hitting to leg well ; an energetic field ; can bowl . H. G.
