H.Griffiths , (captain ) (12.1 )- M a d e an excellent captain on the whole, although he was guilty of one or two errors of judgement, which luckily had not disastrous consequences ; a good slow bowler, a fair field , and a somewhat lucky bat. R. L. Jones (18.0)- Avery good all- round member of the team ; has a strong defence and a pretty cut in front of point ; is probably the safest field in the eleven , and has a most puzzling action whenhe bowls . J. T. L. Jenkins (10.7 )-Didnot come up to the expectations formed of him in 1892 ; he was certainly very unlucky in his batting , but at the beginning of the season he seemed entirely to have lost that stubborn defence whichmadehim so useful last year ; bowled fairly well, and also fielded well at point . N. Low (8.1 )- Agood long -stop in a difficult year, owing to hard grounds ; he improved in his batting , but is still very stiff in style ; must practice bowling . A. T. Hone(6.7)-Improveda great deal as a bowler , and was of the greatest use in the school matches ; a very hard and lofty hitter , but unfortunately chiefly in practice matches . R. E. Wright (6.5 )- Agood field and a steady bat; played one or two remarkably good innings , but was handicapped by illness in the middle of the season. F. Foulkes (2.5)- Agood long -field and splendid throw ; saved the school by his batting at Bangor, and so numerous other failures maybe passed over . R. H. Jones (2.)--Developed into a very fair wicket -keeper , but should make sure of holding the ball as well as stopping it ; has a style of batting "peculiarily his own. " V. Jones (2. )-A fair field , and with lots of practice should make a decent left -hand bowler ; a very unlucky bat, and did really im- prove during the season . J. B. Hone(1.6 )- Afeeble bat at present , but improved agreat deal in his fielding towards the end of the season ; should be able to do
