Has improved greatly as a bat, and has almost entirely lost the scoring round to leg , that was so fatal to him last year. H e has hadvery good success at times as a bowler , but is rather erratic ; fields well with a strong return . N. B. Gray: Has unaccountably failed as a bat this season ; fields well, and throws in well . H. E. Kingston ; Asound bat, though he should never over -reach himself in playing forward , and then sacrifice playing witha straight bat . With care in practice he should make a fair bat . As a bowler , slow , with leg break. Hehas been fairly successful on the whole in spite of bad luck in the field , on which he depends for catches . *C. V. Reynolds ; Has m ade a useful bat , and at times scored well , though slowly ; moderate field . Ft. N. Townsend; A very good and straight bat, with a nice style , not perhaps seady enough on his right foot , and rather impatient to score when he has been in long . A very smart and promising wicket -keeper , easily eclipses all former ones. D.McLaurin ; Agood medium pace bowler ; uses his head well and gets plenty of "work" on . As a bat, he has improved immensely both in defence and in scoring power, andhas played some excellent innings ; a moderate field . * E.D. Jarrad; Apowerful hitter , but lacks greatly in defence ; a smart field ; throws in well . E. W. Fichardt ; Improved as a bat, and plays straight . Some use at times as a change bowler ; fields well at cover point . C. J. Leith ; Bowled well at times, but was not suffiently tested ; a slow field and poor bat. J. Cameron ; A strong hitter with moderate defence , tries his hardest in the field , but must improve greatly . P. O. Turnbull ; Amoderate bat, and at times a most useful change bowler . A good catch in the field , but lacks energy ; should learn to throw in better. F E T T E SC O L L E G E . Captain for 1893.-W. M c C. Duguid M cCombie. R e s u l t so f M a t c h e s .
