Soames-A most promising bat,as he plays straight ,watches the ball carefully ,and hits surprisingly hardall round. Is capable of rising to the occasion . Avery useful change bowler, and with practice should improve a lot . Has worked hard in the field andcome on. *C. O. Sich-One of the most improved players in the team. His defence is stronger and he hits harder . Has a very nice stroke in front of cover , and seldom lets off a leg ball . Bowled occasionally . Safe though slow in the field . E. B. T. Lee-A steady slow-mediumbowler ,who gets manywickets with a ball that comes withhisarm. Keeps agoodlength andis rather deceptive . Disappointed expectations as a bat . Goodfield at slip . F. J. Portman-A fair change bowler with a nice high action . W h e nhe gets a better length he should be good. Fair field and bats in good style , but is too fond of missing straight balls and hitting catches . H. L. Wethered-Apromising bat, playing very hard for his size . Cuts well . Fair field at slip . H. H. Sich -A keen cricketer : hits hard and fields enthusiastically . Safe catch in the country . A. D. Bradford -Amuch improved bat . Hits very hard on the on-side .
