Has been prevented from keeping wicket , and his loss to the team for manyweeks has been most serious . *W. Outram-Could bat as well as ever, but some trouble in his eyesight has prevented him scoring . A useful and plucky field . *N. W. Jackson -Agood fast bowler , making the best of any inequalities in the ground . Astylish bat ; should be more effective . Dilettante in the field . *H. W. Snell - Abulwark of strength in batting , well able to score at a pinch , in spite of a flourish . A fine field and thrower -in, and a queer curly bowler . *H.B.F.Burnaby - Avery useful batsman, and much improved . Canpunish bad slows . A reason- ably good point . * W. J. Barton-Can bowl a good break back, and is sometimes difficult to play . A fair defensive bat. Lacks dash in the field . *J. K. Stenning - H a sdone good service with the bat and ball , and will certainly improve in the former department . Can give a shrewd knock to the off. Very effective short slip . H. C. Broadrick-Muchimproved as wicket -keeper , starting from somewhat small resources . Occasionally scores . W. A. Giles-A fine old-fashioned hitter , with a good eye, and is becoming defensive . A good field , and bowls with a serpentine delivery . E. F. Long-Excellent field : painstaking bat-sure to im- prove . G. H. Stevenson -A capital cover -point or third man.
