Bromley-Martin (captain ).- A sgood a captain as can be expected for a school eleven ; a fine free batsman, having good strokes all round ; very quick and safe in the field . C. C. Pilkington .-A finished and powerful batsman; his innings in both school matches were excel- lent ; a first -rate slow bowler, very difficult to score off ; a safe and often brilliant field at point . P. W. Cobbold .-Very good bowler , with leg break and with a good fast ball ; rather apt to move his leg to fast bowling , but a quick scorer whenset ; a safe catch in the slips . H. F. W. Bircham. Has improved lately as abatsman ; hits hard , and when set is very dangerous ; slow in the field . F. H. E. Cunliffe . One of the best batsmen in the eleven , with a fine , free style ; an excellent mediumleft -hand bowler , with a good length , coming chiefly from leg , but has a difficult ball that comes with his arm; a good field . Hon. F. W. Egerton . A very steady batsman and most consistent scorer ; cuts well, and hits hard to leg ; splendid field anywhere. H. F. Meeking-Agood wicket -keep ; with
