Symes Thompson ; A very good bat, especially strong on the off-side ; though not so successful as last year. Very smart in the field , and a safe catch . M. A. Brown: Withmore practice should become a really good wicketkeeper , painstaking bat, played several useful innings . A. E. Gilmore : WithVerley bore the brunt of the bowling ,; varies his pace well and breaks both ways ; a dangerous bat ; good short slip . A. E. Jeaffreson : Played a very good innings against Caius early in the season , but did not come up to expectations , a good clean field at third man. B. L. Verley : Steady bat, unlucky towards the end of the season ; the mostsuccessful bowlerin the eleven ; safe field . G. A. M . Levett : Auseful left hand bowler ; fine deep field . H. W. Sewell : A good medium pace, change bowler, moderate bat with a good stroke on the off side . W. M. Sing : Afine freebat, unluckythis season, at mid off brilliant on his w a y. H.
