Jackson: One of the best cricketers in England, and a tower of strength to any team. A brilliant a n d attractive batsman, playing all kinds of bowling with the greatest ease andconfidence . Avery good fast bowler andfine field . A nexcellent captain.- J. Douglas : Acapital cricketer . A very good bat, perhaps a little too anxious to score . A brilliant field anywhere. A useful change bowler-slow left hand. - C. M. Wells : A n excellent all-round cricketer , although not quite all that was expected as a bat, a very useful one. The best amateur slow bowler in England. Met with marked success in every match. A splendid field .-- P . H. Latham (captain 1894) : A very good bat, especially to fast bowling , with a sound defence . Fair field . Should make an excellent captain . - A. J. L. Hill : A good cricketer , good fast bowler , and fair bat (not quite as good as was hoped). Good field anywhere. E. C. Streatfeild : A good bowler , medium slow right , and capital bat , scoring very fast when set . Asplendid field .-L. H. Gay: Afirst-class wicket -keeper , one that maybe classed in the first rank. Agreatly improved bat, and always useful . - H. R. Bromley-Davenport : A good fast left-hand bowler , frequently proving very useful . Goodfield and useful bat at a pinch .-T. N. Perkins : Agood hard-hit- ting bat, scoring very fast and should improve . Asplendid field in the country.- K. S. Ranjitsinhji : An excellent cricketer and thoroughly deserved his place in the 'Varsity teain . Avery steady bat with capital defence . Abrilliant short slip .- A. O.
