Nicholls : A really goodbat, but never seems to play up to his form; is at times brilliant , but never watchful enough; fine cover-point . T. N. Sample: Good slow steady bowler , keeping a very good length ; promising bat. D. Christopherson : Fair slow left -handbowler,breaking both ways, but without muchcontrol of pitch ; patient reliable bat at any time. P. Lee : Played two good innings , but other- wise not a success .
