T H EUNIVERSITIESA N DPUBLICSCHOOLSIN 1892. 1 6 3 uses his head , and got nearly as manywickets as the other bowlers put together ; hard-working field ; very useful bat , though his style is not taking . *C. Druce : Verygoodbat, with strong defence ; hits well to leg ; scores rapidly whenset, butfailed to do himself justice ; good wicket -keeper . N. F. Druce : Excellent bat, with pretty style and good hitting powers ; one of the most consistent scorers in the team; safe field ; might be useful as a bowler with practice ; captain for 1893. *F. W. Cheales : Promising bat, with good defence ; ought to be good next year ; safe field in the country ; with practice should be useful as a lob bowler . J.
