H.D'Aeth (Edmonstone) : Afirst -rate fast bowler , strong , steady , and with an ugly spin on the ball ; a lusty but uncouth batsman. C. J. Reid (Le Bas) : A first -rate wicket -keeper , andhas been invaluable to the team ; somewhat rough but strong , and improving as a batsman. *F. H. Salzmann (Le Bas) : Showedadmirable defence , especi- ally early in the year ; not quite so safe latterly ; an excellent and painstaking field . W. Outram (Thomason) : Has developed incredibly as a batsman; vigorous , careful , and aggressive , and very likely to score freely ; capital plucky field . N. W. Jackson (Lawrence) : a straight and stylish batsman, sure to improve with more sinew ; useful bowler ; comatose field , but improving . H. J. W. Gray(Le Bas) : a useful and confident batsman, with a style not free from blemish ; capital point ; can bowl. *S. H. S. Haynes (Edmondstone ) : Useful all round, especially with the ball . H. W. Snell (Hailey) : Fine field ; has been unsuccessful with the bat, but is always liable to score well . *E. K. Long (Hailey) : Bats well with his arms, but must gather strength in his legs to get on; bowls fairly well at times , and has taken pains with his fielding . H A R R O W S C H O O L .
