Sulley (Hon. Sec.) : The best all-round m a nin the team; a fine bat, with good style and punishing powers; a useful medium-pace bowler, and never tires ; safe field anywhere. A. J. Daniell : Has come on in batting , but should take more trouble ; a fine left -hand bowler, and uses his head; good field at mid-on. M .H. Stanborough : Muchimproved bat ; good style , and fast scorer ; a success- ful change bowler ; brilliant field in the country . G. E. Fuhrken : Onhis day auseful bowler-fast medium; fair field ; poor bat. F. H. Maturin : Hits hard, andgenerally comes off on a wet wicket ; has not improved behind the sticks . J.Ware: Played several good innings at the beginning of the season ; slow in the field . F. Ware: A consistent scorer , with some peculiar strokes ; moderate change bowler ; by no means energetic in the field . E. V. Gostling : With moreconfidence would become a good bat ; plays a sound game; has fielded well at cover -point ; fair change bowler . W. E. Tucker : As a fast right -arm bowler has taken a lot of wickets ; energetic field ; wants patience as a bat. P. C. A naccident to his shoulder greatly interfered with his bowling, though at times hewasas deadly as ever ; scored freely , exceeding the century on one occasion . W. M. Scott : A first -class cricketer , with brilliant hitting powers ; his scoring onseveral occasions was sensational ; bowled effectually ; hadvery hard luck not getting his blue. N. C. Cooper : A thoroughly sound bat, though a little slow; agood field , and has taken wickets . P. A. Fryer : Greatly improved onhis last year's form; a consistent run-getter ; madethree centuries . A. G. Stubbs : Seems to have lost all his old dash; a good field , but not reliable . A. Finch : A n energetic secretary ; a fair bat, hitting hard whenset . A. O. Jones : A brilliant batand field ; mustbe congratulated on his place in the Notts' team. A. P. Snell : W a sin splendid batting form the whole term ; a safe catch in the deep- field . T. N. Perkins : Agood hard -hitting bat , without much defence ; did not realise expectations as a bowler. E. M. Leveson - Gower : A useful fast bowler w h e nhe had got his length ; also maderuns . A . F. Fernie : A painstaking cricketer ; a fair bat, but slow in the field . E. C. Osborne : Played well in the Freshman's match, but did not otherwise comeup to his reputation .
