Douglas (Dulwich and Selwyn) : Hardly came up to his form of '91 ; a steady , painstaking batsman, and good field . J. Douglas (Dulwich and Selwyn ) : A very useful cricketer all round ,and will no doubt improve ; good, steady batsman, and useful change left -hand bowler. D. L. A. Jephson (Private and Peterhouse ) : A good all -round m a n; fast right -hand bowler , and reliable batsman , and good field . P. H. Latham (Malvern and Pembroke ) : Good sound batsman , with strong defence ; good field . F. S. Jackson (Harrow and Trinity ) : Captain , and a very good one ; bowls fast right , and a very dangerous batsman; but rather fond of a swipe at a straight ball ; ought to become a first -class cricketer . C. M. Wells (Dulwich and Trinity ) : Did not quite come up to his proper form this year ; a first -rate batsman, with any amount of patience ; good field , and useful change bowler . G. J. V. Weigall (Wellington and Emmanuel) : Afair bat, very often doing a brilliant thing whenthe match is going against his side ; capital field anywhere. A. J. L. Hill (Marlborough and Jesus ) : Athorough cricketer ; good medium- pacebowler, coming off the pitch very quick ; painstaking batsman, and excellent field . E. C. Streatfeild (Charterhouse and Pembroke ) : Adangerous batsman , frequently coming off when most wanted , as in the 'Varsity match ; splendid field , and very useful change bowler-mediumpace . H. Bromley - Davenport (Eton and Trinity ) : Good medium-pace left -hand bowler and fair field , and a painstaking batsman . L. H.
