A nimportant feature in our warehouse is a room fifty feet long , which is entirely devoted to the storage and seasoning of Cricket Bats ,which , after being made by us from best quality and well -seasoned willow , are then thoroughly oiled and kept at a sufficiently high temperature during the winter months to bring them into first class condition for the next season , or to fit themfor export to the hottest climates . The importance of this cannot be overrated . Ournew" Special Driver " Bat (Frowd's Patent) has given results hitherto unattained by any other Bat, the driving power being greater , and stinging or concussion to the hands is reduced practically to nil . A reduction in weight of fromone to twoounces is also effected . Thesuccess of this Bat during 1881 , the first season's use ,was altogether unprecedented in the annals of Cricket , and this has been fully con- firmed bythe results of the subsequent seasons . Theopinions expressed as to its superiority to any other Bat are unanimous , and we are constantly receiving great numbers of perfectly spontane- ous testimonials concerning it, some of them being quite enthusiastic , from all parts of the country, and from the colonies .
