Norwood: Kept wicket very well indeed ; but his batting is of that order which dares muchbut accomplishes little ; has left for Rugby. A. H. Johnston : Agood and improving bat, hits hard and clean all round, butoften a little too anxious to score ; sharp and quick in the field ; fair bowler . E. M. Toul- min: A steady and powerful left -handbat; good mediumleft -handbowler , with a puzzling break; a little slow in the field ; probably leaving for Marlborough . R. P. Hills : A very steady and useful little bat, and with more power will probably develop his run-getting powers; a capital point , has brought off some brilliant catches ; has left for Marlborough . B. Morgan: Hasbatting in him, but wants more nerve , must cultivate forward play on the off stump; very good field , sure catch ; good mediumbowler . A. J. Littleton : Hasimproved as a bat, but still requires nerve for forward play ; slow in the field ; occasionally effective as a bowler, though rather erratic ; has left for Rugby. G. Shewell : Will probably develop into an extraordinary good bat; has capital defence , but requires strength to punish ; good field . A. T. Atkinson : Hits hard and often , but should cultivate defence ; fair bowler ; capital hard- working field ; has left for Rugby. H. G. Davies : Hasnot quite comeup to expectations ,but will undoubtedlyimprove; goodfield . A. T.
