Thornhill (6.7) : Bats in very correct style ,often keeping up his wicket , though without making long scores ; excellent bowler , fast and straight ; a little uncertain ,but very deadly at times ; fair field . E. G. Lushington (28) : Dashing bat, with plenty of wrist action ; goodout-field . J. Rowlands (2.3): Steady bowler , keeps a good length , and is occasionally very difficult ; capital field , especially in the country ; poor bat. E. F. Hemingway(10.1 ) : Useful wicket -keeper , and frequently does good service with the bat. H. A. Hignett (4) : Fair bat ; safe catch, but slow in the field . I. S. Thornton (7): Fair in all branches of the game, but has not fulfilled his early promise . F. E. Haynes (14.2 ) : Bats in good style , and promises to do very well whenhe gets stronger ; good field .
