Read (12) : Agoodall -round cricketer , and shows great promise ; has batted andbowled well throughout theseason ; should be invaluable next year. A. C. Mace(5) : A sure and steady bat ; a good m a nto send in first ; acapital field at point . W. P. Kitcat (11) : An energetic player ; generally makesruns whenwanted ; has kept wicket well throughout the season . N. Stallard (9) : Has improvedgreatly all roundsince thebeginningof the season; avery goodchangebowler. A. J. Arkwright (7) : Hits well to leg, but is weak on the off ; a good field ; a fair change bowler ; shouldbe of great service next year. J. W. Neale(3) : Shouldbe a goodcricketer ; is still young andslightly nervous ; a good field at cover -point . H. Hamshaw(4): Very eager to makeruns , buthits too much; a good field , andthrows well . E. L. Wheelwright (10) : Apokey batsman, andvery uncertain ; extremely slack and indifferent , according as it suits him. A. T. M. W. P. Dean (21.5 ) : A most useful bat, scoring very consistently ; can hit very hard to the on and to leg, but is no cutter ; keeps up his wicket in a style of his ownwhich is very safe ; improved in the field , and catches like a landing net.
