Bartlett : Bats verywell on a fast wicket , and promises great things for next year ; uncertain field , coming on as a bowler . *G. F. H. Lushington : A steady useful over-hand bowler , much improved in accuracy ; has frequently scored with his off -drive , but has yet to learn defence and running ; slow field . *J. B. Eastley : Has been spoilt for run-getting by an accident ; a fair bat, and hardly a fair field ; a bad judgeof a run. *M. S. Ware: Sometimes scores well, but will not be a good battill he ceases to crouch ; a good safe field and catch , and a bit of a bowler . *E. C. M. Morley : Muchimproved as a batsman, and promises well ; a hard- working field , and is learning short -slip . * W. E. C. Partridge : Has a really good defence , and has frequently borne the brunt of the battle ; a very fair field . *L. B. Lempriere : Ahard-working deep field andgood catch ; has batted with moderate success . *J. F. Bawtree : A very promising slow left -hand bowler, andis improving with the bat. L. L. H.
