Palairet (Captain , and for 1892 ) : Singu- larly unsuccessful as abat in college matches , but bowled and fielded splendidly . W. H. Brain : Plays nice cricket ,but wasnot successful at the beginning of the season ; wicket-keeper. H. H. Hansard: Played finely whenever he was able to represent the college ; plays a good free gameand fields well . A. S. Cocks : Goodfast bowler ; has proved very successful with the bat onmany occasions . E. Rowley: Patient and painstaking bat ; goodfield . P. C. Cochran : Good cover-point ; hits hard, but is not a sound bat. R. C. N. Palairet : Batted mag- nificently for the college on all occasions ; good field , anduseful change bowler. V. T. Hill: Afine free bat against all bowling ,but is apt to give himself away; canbowl a bit, and fields well at short -slip . L. T. Bigg: With more trouble would be a good player ; dangerous bat , but exceedingly careless ; fair field . G. Sevier -Davies : Fine field ; careful bat, with stiff style . E. G. M.
