MacGregor : Very seldom able to play for the college ,but when he did his wicket -keeping was a treat to see . W. I. Rowell : W a sin splendid batting form, coming out with highest average ; improved as a bowler, andwasmuchfaster between the wickets . R. O. Crawford : Returned to his old form of 1889 , playing some splendid innings for the college , especially against Trinity . N. C. Cooper : Batted most consistently , scoring muchfaster thanhedid last year ; fell off a little in his fielding ; hadhard lines in not getting his blue . A. G. Stubbs : Was most disappointing all through , but on a few oc- casions showed some of his old dash ; good field . P. A. Fryer : Better things were hoped for ; kept wicket very fairly , but was unlucky in batting . H. B. Williams : Mostconsistent run-getter in the team; splendid field anywhere. E. V. Palmer : Slow left -hand bowler, good on his day; improved a great deal in batting . A. Finch : Hits very hard ; will be most useful next season as a bowler. A. J. L. Hill : Wasvery energetic as secretary ; very useful as a bowler when not playing for the 'Varsity ; good bat and field , especially at extra short -slip . W.M. Scott (Captain ) : Must be congratulated on his success as captain , always doing himself full justice . S. M. J. Woods : Only played in two matches , when as usualh etookm o s tofthewickets.
