One of the keenest sportsmen in Metropolitan cricket circles , and was responsible for the revival of the Clapton Club. Grace's Eleven, and attained the distinction of being the first bowler to clean bowl Mr. Gracein the Colonies.- A u g u s t. IDDISON , ROGER (Yorkshire and United Eleven ). (55 ). Was prominently identified with Yorkshire county cricket for some twenty years , and formed one of the first English team to Australia (1861 ). W a salso one of the best all -round players in the United All England Eleven, and later on became joint secretary of the United All England Eleven.-March19. KIRWAN, REV. EDWARD DOMINICK GEOFFREY MARTIN (Eton ). Played for Eton in 1832-33 ; was a Fellow of King's College , Cambridge. June 27. MARSHALL, JOHN (Harrow). (64) . Took an active part in Public School cricket nearly half a century ago, being in the HarrowElevens of 1842, 1843, and (as captain ) 1844. W a sa hard hitter , medium-pace bowler, and excellent long -stop .-February 22 . MIDWINTER, WILLIAM(Australia ). (38). Wasa memberof the First andFourth Australian Teams, and played for Gloucestershire from 1879 to 1883 . Batted vigorously and in good style , and was an excellent medium-pace b o w l e r.
