Was prominently identified with Yorkshire county cricket for some twenty years , and formed one of the first English team to Australia (1861 ). Wasa memberof the First andFourth Australian Teams, and played for Gloucestershire from 1879 to 1883 . Batted vigorously and in good style , and was an excellent medium-pace b o w l e r.
