A fine bat , with a capital stroke just in front of point good field ; played fine cricket on several important occasions . RADCLIFFE, O. G. A very useful all -round cricketer ; a safe and reliable bat, anduseful change bowler (slow round), with considerable break. RICE, R. W. Very steady bat, will improve , but slow in the field . TOWNSEND, F. A first -rate batsman , with good hitting power all round a fine field ; at times a successful " lob" bowler. VIZARD , W. O. (Clifton ). A very good bat on a fast wicket , with forward play, but not muchuse on a slow wicket ; is slow but safe in the field . WREFORD-BROWN, C. (Charterhouse and Oxford) . A promising all -round cricketer ; useful bowler ; fair bat, and good field . HALE, H. (Cambridge) , plays for Gloucestershire . H A M P S H I R E . ANDREWS, A. Agood bat, with great defence . BENCRAFT, R. Agood bat, hitting hard on the off - side ; is a safe catch ; bowls occasionally ; scored consistently well during the season . BONHAM- CARTER, L. G. (Clifton ). Agood bat; has a pretty style ; good out- field. CURRIE, C. E. (Cambridge). A good slow right -handed bowler, breaking both ways; splendid field ; poor bat. EVANS, A. H. (Clifton and Oxford). A first -class fast bowler , and fair bat ; good field anywhere ; does not play muchfirst -class cricket now. FORSTER, H. W. (Eton and Oxford). A nexcellent all -round cricketer ; fine bat, good left -hand slow bowler, and reliable field ; captains the team. HOFFMEISTER , H. E. W. (Epsom and Cambridge ). Agood bat, with strong defence ; active in the field . LACEY, F. E. (Sherborne and Cambridge). A fine all -round cricketer ; bats in neat style , and can hit hard; a good field , and at times effective as a slow r o u n d-a r mb o w l e r. MEYRICK-JONES, F. (Marlborough and Cambridge).
