Laing (33.9 ) : Hasbeen invaluable to the team; good bat with strong defence , especially good at cutting ; in bowling (slow right ) greatly improved , very deadly on his own wicket; fine field . J. Fall (23.2 ): Made a fair captain ; good bat with great hitting powers , buttoo eager to make runs ; very useful at times as a bowler (slow right ); grand field any- where. *H. T. Fall (10.4 ) : Very fair bat, good forward style , andcanhit, but does not always playstraight ; fine bowler (mediumright ) with off -break ; good field . *R. W. Duncan (10.3): Verysteady bat,but has rather a cramped action ; moderate field . *J. F. Duncan(9.3 ) : Kept wicketat times fairly ,but not to be depended on; did not bat so well as last year,but generally kept up his wicket . *W. H. Pope (10.5) : Gave really good promise at beginning of season in batting,butfell off unaccountably; uncertain field ,butn o wandthenbroughtoff somegood catches . *L. Greaves (19) : Reckless , but with fine hitting powers , and with care should be a run-getter ; as abowler (mediumright ), might have been made more use of; good field . D. Bunbury(9.0) : Has improved on last year's batting , when set scoring very quickly ; bowled (slow left ) fairly now and then; moderate field . C. S. Fall (3.9 ) : Generally madea few runs, buttries to hit a lot too much; occasionally very successful in bowling (fast right ); good field . *A. Hopkins (2.1): Kept his wicket up, but absolutely no run-getting powers ; slow but good field . J. Ormiston (2.8): Poor bat ; promises well as abowler (slow right ); safe field .
