R. Blaker (Captain ) : A really good bat; hits very hard all round the wicket , especially to the off ; has played some very fine innings and is extremely difficult to get rid of when set ; is also a safe field , and has made a thoroughly efficient and energetic captain (Captain for 1891). *J. D. Gifford : The most useful member of the eleven ; is a splendid bowler , andhas borne the brunt of the bowling all the season ; his performance against Charterhouse was exceptionally brilliant ; is also a very good bat . J. O. Powell : A fair bowler , but not so good as last year, has failed altogether as a bat, through he plays in good form ; a good field . *J. A. Willett : Has failed to satisfy expectations ; is a fair bat , and very useful change bowler ; is a very good field at point . J. S. Shearme : Avery good bat ; has asound defence and fair hitting powers , hits especially well to leg ; is sometimes a useful fast
