Tandy (Captain ) : As captain has set agood example in the field , but his batting has hardly come up to the expecta- tions formed of him last year ; was unfortunately away for some matches ,when his absence was much felt ; a magnificent field everywhere . *H. Lovegrove : Very fair bat , but often inclined to play too tamely ; moderate change bowler ; fair but uncertain field . S. Kennington : Goodbat, can play a very fast game, might have more defence ; has been very disappointing as abowler ; excellent field . R. S. H. Baiss : Agood bat with sound defence ,was out of form for part of the season ; smart but uncertain field . J. M. Marshall : Agood left -hand medium -pace bowler , with good leg break , occasionally has proved unplayable ;
