Bathurst : Has improved all round; good captain , beautiful field , very useful bowler , and in batting is much more punishing than of yore ; has played some very fine innings . *A. L. Nelson : Has improved as a wicket -keeper and come on greatly as a bat , being able to combine defence and punishing power to a considerable extent ; has been very useful , and has been known to bowl . *W. R. Stratton : Agood field , fair bowler , and as a bat is worth more runs perhaps than he got , *F, D. Wright ;
