Thomas : Canplay very goodcricket , but often spoils his innings by impatience ; he does brilliant things in the field , but is rather uncertain . B. M. L. Brodhurst : Occa- sionally bowledvery well, with goodlength and break ; he did not improve as much as was expected in batting , and is still slow in the field . *W. E. Sykes : Is a useful medium-pace bowler, often making the ball keep low ; he hits hard, in a style of his o w n; not very accurate in the field . *C. G. Sime: Bats care- fully and in good style , and fields accurately ; he was unfortunately unable to play in manymatches , owing to an accident . *O. Field : Will be a good bat whenhe can showmore vigour and life ; he plays very steadily , but lets off manyloose balls , and is a good field . *W. Brocklehurst : Sometimes bowls a very difficult ball, and would be good if his pitch were more accurate ; he can hit hard and field well . H. L. W . Norrington : Improved very muchas a bat, and played somegood innings at the end of the season ; he was useful as a wicket -keeper, standing back, and should learn to stand up to the wicket . *H. R.
