Webbewoundup the season in fine style , scoring 43 and 57. Messrs . Challen (49 and 1), H. T. Hewett (1 and 34), andW, N. Roe(0 and 33) were chief scorers for Somerset. Thanksto Mr. W e b b e, Middlesex at one time wantedonly 14 to winwith four wickets in hand. The hometeam, though , bowled and fielded up with great dash at the crisis , and amid a scene of much excitement the gameended in a tie-M r.
