At times a very dangerous fast bowler ; hits hard; was very useful for the County last year whenhe could play. PULLEN, W . W. F. A fine bat, with a capital stroke just in front of point ; good field ; was able to help during most of the season , and wasof great use, playing fine cricket on several important occasions . RADCLIFFE, OCTAVIUS GOLDNEY. Avery useful all-round cricketer ; a safe and reliable bat, and useful change bowler (slow round ), with considerable break . TOWNSEND, F. A first -rate batsman, with good hitting power all round; a fine field ; at times a successful " lob " bowler. WREFORD-BROWN, C. (Charterhouse and Oxford) . A promising all -round cricketer ; useful bowler ; fair bat, and good field . CROOME, A. C. M. (Oxford) , and Hale, H. (Cambridge), play for Gloucestershire . H A M P S H I R E . ANDREWS, A. Agood bat , with great defence ; unfortunately cannot play very often for the County. ARMSTRONG , H. A useful medium -pace right -handed bowler ; agood bat . BENCRAFT , R. Agood bat , hitting hard on the off -side ; is a safe catch ; bowls occasionally ; scored consistently well during the season . BONHAM- CARTER, L. G. (Winchester ). A good bat ; has a pretty style ; goodout -field . CURRIE, C. E. (Cambridge ). Agood slow right -handed bowler , breaking both ways; splendid field ; poor bat . EVANS, A. H. (Clifton and Oxford). A first -class fast bowler, and fair bat ; good field anywhere; does not play muchfirst -class cricket now. HOFFMEISTER, H. E. W. (Epsomand Cambridge). A good bat, with strong defence; active in the field . LACEY, F. E. (Sherborne and Cambridge ). A fine all -round cricketer ; bats in neat style , and can hit hard ; a good field , and at times effective as a slow round-a r mbowler. MEYRICK-JONES, F. (Marlborough and Cambridge). Goodbat, and fast run- getter; slow in the field . NICHOLSON, W.( Harrowand Cambridge). Afair wicket -keeper ; not areliable bat. POWELL, E. O. (Charterhouse and Cambridge). A useful all-round cricketer ; has good defence , and can hit hard ; a good field . SEYMOUR, C. R. (Oxford ). Asteady bat ; good on a fast wicket ; not a reliable field . STEELE, D. A. Fair bat, andfast bowler ; splendid field . WATSON, A. L. (Winchester and Oxford). A good bat, possessing great patience and strong defence ; a fair field. FORSTER, H. W . (Eton and Oxford). A useful cricketer , and likely to be of future service totheCounty. BUTCHER, A. (Cambridge ) . A good sound bat, with plenty of patience , can hit hard; good field , and useful slow bowler. CRAWLEY, E. (Harrowand Cambridge) . See Cambridge eleven . DEBENHAM, H. B. (Winchester and Oxford). Fair bat and field , andgood fast b o w l e r. HEALE, Rev. W. H. (Harrowand Oxford) . A fine dashing bat; good field . JONES , G. M. (Winchester and Oxford ). Agood bat and field ; ought to play more for his County.
