Alderson : A good bat, can hit well to the on-side , and can cut well behind point ; has improved very much in batting at the end of the season ; a good field at mid-off ; captained his eleven very well this season . *G. M. Hannay: Although giving promise last year of turning out a successful player , has rather disappointed us in this , but nevertheless is a muchbetter batthan his average would lead us to suppose ; fielded well , at times brilliantly at cover -point ; a useful left -hand bowler. *F. A. W. How: A useful bat, hitting well on the on-side , and has good defence ; a safe field at point ; has been knownto bowl. *H. G. Peachey : Wicket-keep of the eleven , andas such has proved himself reliable throughout the season ; a m u c himprovedandvery useful bat. G. R. Bardswell: H a sh a d a lot of hard workto do, andhas done it very creditably ; bowls very steadily ; keeps a good length , and gets a good amount of spin on; cuts beautifully , but is not strong in his other play ; fielded well at slip . T. Westray : Amost pains- taking cricketer , playing a straight as well as hard game; is always good for runs ; has fielded very well in the country. B. Auden: Asteady bat, playing
