Stubbs (Batten ) : Captain for 1889 , and very painstaking in his office ; afree bat , and rapid run -getter after his eye is " in" ; a useful medium-pace bowler, and a good field anywhere. *A. P. A. Finch (Lawrence ) : A fine and free hitter , with plenty of nerve , who cankeep his head after hitting fours and play steadily ; fielding at times inade
