Stone : As a cricketer was more philosophical than practical , probably owing to the proximity of schools . H. Harrison : Wherewasthe hero of Falcarragh , that he was so easily evicted by the bowler ? an exciting field ; a striking personal bowler ; all whoplay against him should join the "Batsman's Defence League ." T. Mylne : Good, though lucky bat ; useful change bowler ; heavy field . P. W. O'Brien : Muchimproved since last season ; fine field ; an alarming bowler and ferocious hitter . J. H. DuBoulay: Fine field ; somewhat disappointing as a bat. F. W. Christian : Onhis daya very fair bowler, mystifying his opponents by starting with his back towards them; in the field the batsmen's friend ; as a batsmanhe diverted everything butthe ball . M. R. Jardine : Wasunable to play for the College owing to abad fit of the blues-see Oxford University . H. D. Watson : Goodbat, fair defence , and hits hard; useful lob bowler ; fine field ; should have a look in for the 'Varsity . W. J. Smith : Goodand steady left -handbowler ; successful at times with the bat. A. P. Newman: Steady and improving bat ; bad field .
