Tregellas , for the Lennox C.C. , bowled 1,189 balls (237.4 overs , 98 maidens ) for 295 runs and 68 wickets (average 4.23 ) ; and in all matches 1,819 balls (363.4 overs , 146 maidens ) for 475 runs and 100 wickets (average 4.75 ). In the season , for Elland Woodside Mills , A. McLaurie bowled 122 overs for 145 runs and 77 wickets , average 1.68 .-I n3 successive two-day matches for Wellington v. Incogniti , Cuckoo Penners , andIshmaelites , C. E. Wintertook 45 wickets for 164 runs , 33 clean bowled . In match between M.C.C. and Ground v. Yorkshire , at Lord's , on M a y7, A. Hearne took 8 of the 9 wickets which fell to the bowlers in Yorkshire's first innings . In match Streatham v. Buckhurst Hill , on June 2, C. Morganbowled throughout latter's first innings without a run being got off him. In match between Anchorites v. Ilford , on June 30, H. Chads took 15 of 17 Ilford wickets with underhand slows . Playing for the Clergy Orphan School , Canterbury v. South Eastern College , Ramsgate, on M a y31, G. Cuming, in the first innings , took all 10 wickets at the cost of 9 runs , and in the second innings took 8 wickets for 8 runs. In the first innings he performed the " hat trick ," thus taking in the whole match 18 wickets for 17 runs. A. Spiers , playing for the Hatcham Park C.C. v.
