TROLLOPE, W. S. (Westminster ). Goodbat, and at times effective fast round- a r mb o w l e r. TROUNCER, C. A. (Cambridge ). Agood left -handed bat, having defence as well as hit ; scored largely in the trial matches at Cambridge; moderate field . S U S S E X . BRANN, G. Agood bat,with plenty of reach , but has hardly come up to his school form ; smart field . DUDNEY, W. H. A fast , run-getting bat, and fair wicket -keeper ; played little first -class cricket last year. GREENFIELD, Rev. F. F. J. (Cambridge). A r u n-getting bat; slow bowler ; plays little first -class cricketn o w. MCCORMICK, E. J. A good bat ; occasional right -arm bowler, and good field ; unable to play as muchas could be wished. Agood fast round-arm bowler, though an injury to his arm early in the season prevented him being quite as successful as usual last year ; excellent field , and improving bat. (Shrews- bury's Australian Team, 1887-88 .) WHITFELD, H. (Eton and Cambridge ). A fine steady bat, and brilliant field ; hasapparently given up first -class cricket . THOMAS, F. (Cambridge) and F. H. Good reliable bat, playing a safe game; useful fast bowler on a bumpywicket ; successful captain , and keen cricketer ; safe catch , and reliable field . BYRNE, E. J. Successful in local matches , but unfortunate in County fixtures . DOCKER, D. Very keen cricketer ; gets runs fast whenwell in, but rather too anxious to score ; good field . DOCKER, L. C. Goodbat ; very free when set ; cuts and drives well , especially whenopposed to fast bowling ; safe field in the country ; bowls fast right . (Shrewsbury's Australian Team, 1887-88 .)
