FRANCIS, G U Y(Cheltenham). A useful all -round cricketer ; fair bat. GRACE, E. M. Still a very effective bat, with a good eye for hitting ; plays in a style of his own; a splendid field . GRACE, W. G. Still one of the very best batsmen of the day; hits all round freely , and times the ball with extraordinary precision ; bowls with great success , having a high delivery , and varying his pace and pitch with great judgment; a brilliant field anywhere, and never loses interest in the game; played upto his best form last year. GRIFFITHS, E. L. (Rossall ). A very steady bat ; a fine field , and sure catch . HALE, H. (Cambridge ). Agood all -round cricketer ; could not play much last year unfortunately . LEATHAM, A. E. (Cambridge). A good field close to the wicket, but not safe in the long- field ; bowls left roundmedium. MOBERLY, W. O. (Rugbyand Oxford) . A first -class bat, drives with great power, and hitting well all round ; a brilliant field ; plays little first -class cricketn o w. N E W N H A M, A. (Malvern) . Agood fast round-arm bowler , and likely run-getter ; wasonly able , unfortunately , to play in some of the earlier matches . PAGE, H. V. (Cheltenham and Oxford). Ahard-working andexcellent all -round cricketer ; bowls medium-round, at times with great success ; rarely fails to makeruns , and fine field anywhere. PEAKE, E. (Marlborough and Oxford). At times a very dangerous fast bowler ; hits hard; wasvery useful for the Countylast year whenhe could play. PULLEN, W. W. F. A fine bat, with a capital stroke just in front of point ; good field ; was able to help during most of the season , and was of great use, playing fine cricket on several important occasions . RADCLIFFE, OCTAVIUS GOLDNEY. Agreat acquisition to the County ; a safe and reliable bat , and useful change bowler (slow round), with considerable break . TOWNSEND, F. A first -rate batsman, with good hitting power all round ; a fine field ; at times a successful " lob " bowler ; played two fine innings against the Australians at Clifton . TROUP, W. A youngand promising cricketer ; steady bat, and good field ; was ofgreat use morethanonce. VIZARD, W. O. (Clifton ) . A very good bat on a fast wicket , with forward play, butnotm u c huse on a slowwicket; is slow butsafe in the field . WREFORD-BROWN, C. (Charterhouse and Oxford). A promising all -round cricketer ; useful bowler ; fair bat, and good field . , CROOME, A. C. M. (Oxford) . Plays for Gloucestershire . H A M P S H I R E . ANDREWS, A. A very good bat ; has great defence ; played excellent cricket during the season ; unfortunately cannot play very often for the County. ARMSTRONG, H. A useful medium-pace right -handed bowler ; a good bat. BENCRAFT, R. Agood bat, hitting hard onthe off -side ; is a safe catch ; bowls occasionally . BONHAM- CARTER, L. G. (Winchester ). A good bat ; has a pretty style ; goodout-field . CURRIE , C. E. (Cambridge ). Agood slow right -handed bowler , breaking both ways; splendid field ; poor bat. EVANS , A. H. (Clifton and Oxford ). Afirst -class fast bowler , and fair bat ; good field anywhere.
